Backtest a recurring Solana buy against real historical prices.
Solana is a high-throughput blockchain built for low transaction fees and fast confirmation, which made it a popular base for DeFi, NFT, and consumer crypto apps.
It's also one of the more volatile large-cap crypto assets even by crypto standards, with a launch-era run-up, a very sharp 2022 collapse, and a strong recovery since — a useful, if extreme, test case for a recurring buy schedule.

Why DCA into Solana?
Solana's price swings have been wide enough that a lump sum at the wrong moment could have lost the large majority of its value before recovering — dollar-cost averaging doesn't avoid that swing, but it does mean not every dollar went in at the top.
Frequently asked questions
- What is dollar-cost averaging into Solana?
- Dollar-cost averaging (DCA) means investing a fixed amount into Solana on a regular schedule — weekly, biweekly, monthly — regardless of the price that day, rather than trying to time a single entry point. Some buys land at a local high, some at a local low, and the average cost per unit smooths out over the whole period.
- How far back does the Solana price history go?
- Back to 2020-04-10. Solana is younger than Bitcoin or Ethereum, so its "Max" range is shorter, but still spans its full boom-bust-recovery cycle.
- Does this include exchange fees?
- By default no — it's a 0% baseline so you can see the raw price effect first. Use the Exchange fee dropdown to add a percentage (a few common presets, or your own) and/or a flat fee per buy under Advanced options, and the DCA total updates to include them.
